**Reports to:** Engineering Director, Projects Manager for project related matters. **Responsibilities:** · Lead instrumentation activities on assigned projects. · Read and understand process flow diagrams, heat \& material balances, hazardous area classification drawings, equipment layouts, and equipment datasheets as necessary to support instrumentation scope. · Develop project instrumentation scope, discipline documents, and inter\-disciplinary documents/activities. · Create and review process loop narratives, alarm \& trip set point lists, and cause \& effect diagrams. · Perform sizing calculations for control valves, flow meters, PSVs, regulators, orifice plates, thermowells, level instruments, etc. · Determine and specify design and operational requirements for analyzers. · Create and maintain project instrument index, datasheets, pneumatic \& impulse hook\-up drawings, I/O list. · Specify, select, and purchase instrumentation items/bulks. · Specify, select, and purchase and select fire \& gas detectors. · Review instrumentation details and ensure project specification compliance for instrumentation equipment · Knowledge and experience in industry codes and standards such as AER, IEC, CSA, ATEX, ISA, ASME and API, Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and Safety Instrumented System (SIS). · Ensure instrumentation and quality and technical documents meet project specifications. · Calculate power \& air consumptions for instrumentation. · Provide technical assistance on instrumentation scope to other disciplines. · Proficiency to use AutoCAD to create JB wiring diagrams and control loop drawings. · Knowledge of various electrical components including MCC, VFD, switchgear, motor control stations, and architecture of PLC / DCS and control system communication protocols. · Demonstrate an ability to prioritize activities and stay focused in a dynamic ever\-changing environment. · Ability to work under time constraints within a project team environment. · Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. · Ability to work under time constraints within a project team environment. **Requirements:** · Bachelors or higher Degree of Science or Engineering in Instrumentation Engineering. · At least 3 to 5 years of experience in the oil \& gas industry with modular fabrication experience.
