Production Engineer

GENERAL PURPOSE A leading company in producing soybean meal and oil for Egypt's food manufacturing is seeking a Production Engineer, this role will play a crucial role in optimizing production processes, ensuring efficiency and safety standards are met across operations. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES * Operates the extraction process on a daily shift basis, ensuring safety, food safety, product quality, and environmental standards are met; follows procedures and assists in the execution of shutdowns. * Utilizes the management of change process and complies with the annual department plan, operating standards, and goals. * Conducts plant tours within the Extraction Plant and performs critical path checks, adhering to plant policies and procedures related to safety and housekeeping. * Operates the plant efficiently and effectively, informing the Shift Supervisor of operating supply needs, assisting the engineering department with fault reporting, and actively participating in the predictive/reliability approach. * Leverages technical skills and operational experience to identify and resolve workplace issues, improving work processes and operational efficiencies while staying updated with changes. * Operates the extraction process in accordance with specifications and standards. * Ensures operations are carried out within required standards and goals, maintaining a work environment aligned with the quality management system. * Ensures run sheets are filled out accurately, logging faults, environmental or safety issues, following procedures, and signing off as required. * Complies with corporate process safety and health and safety policies; reports any unsafe practices, equipment, or environmental concerns, and attends safety and process safety meetings and training when applicable. * Operates efficiently, mindful of energy usage and waste. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in production, mechanical, chemical, and electro\-mechanical Engineering. * 2\-4 years in industrial fields. * Advanced skills of PC and Office applications. * Native proficiency in Arabic and fluent in English. * Strong leadership skills. * Excellent communication skills. **Benefits:** Attractive Package

LASTM test, chemical analysis, grain size analysis. * Monitors atmospheric conditions during pouring operations. * Monitors correct curing operations. * Checks the sampling operations (when required). * Reviews the laboratory examination results. * Checks sub\-grade dry density. * Checks moisture content. * Checks compression strength test. * Checks after execution of costing. * Checks after concrete puring. * Checks materials quality (wire, fitting etc.). * Verifies special processes and the relevant workers’ qualifications. * Orderly collect, check and manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections carried out witnessing the tests, controls and inspections carried out. * Check the conformity with the Quality Control Plan and obtain the relevant documentation. * Check the documents certifying the tests, controls and inspections carried out. * Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan according to Clients requirements. **Qualifications*** BSc degree in civil engineering; * For Senior Engineers positions: * General overall experience (15\) years including: * 10 years of professional experience in the rail industry * 5 years of experience in management and implementation of similar projects (i.e. metro, rail) and in a similar position. * He/She will have knowledge of the main structural systems used in the Metro and the safety requirements for the designs, according to international standards and accepted best practice. * Arabic: Native proficiency would be an advantage * English: Bilingual proficiency * Strong communications, coordination, and management skills
