Seat guests at an available and clean table, pull out chairs and place an updated and clean menu in front of each guest. Guide guests through the dining room and assist them as needed. Move and arrange tables and chairs, adjust overall layout and manage seating for groups with specific needs. Verify that seating is appropriate and that each guest has a napkin, clean silverware and all other standard items. Check that there are enough menus and that they are updated, clean and wrinkle-free. Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, follow continuous cleaning procedures. Monitor available seating in dining areas, service, safety and guest well-being. Follow and apply all safety policies and procedures of the brand; report accidents, injuries and any working conditions considered hazardous; complete training and obtain required safety certifications. Ensure a clean and complete work uniform is worn; maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times on the job; respect confidentiality when sharing information related to the brand and/or hotel and protect all company assets. Welcome and receive all guests in accordance with brand standards. Use clear and courteous language in all communications; answer the phone using appropriate language. Develop positive and constructive professional relationships with peers; work together and support each other to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to other employees' concerns. Ensure compliance with quality requirements and standards. Be accustomed to standing, sitting and moving for extended periods of time. Move, lift, carry, pull and place items weighing up to 4.5 kilograms independently. Perform all other tasks requested by supervisors that are consistent with the position. RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent secondary education. Related work experience: No related work experience required; prior experience in a food service environment is recommended.
