As the bank accelerates its digital transformation agenda, it is investing in modern process automation to improve efficiency, compliance, and customer experience. ### **Role Overview** We are seeking a **Senior Camunda 8 Developer** to join the bank’s digital engineering team. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing process automation solutions using **Camunda Platform 8**. You will work closely with business analysts, architects, and backend teams to deliver scalable BPMN/DMN solutions that integrate with core banking systems. The role is **hybrid** (3 days in\-office, depending on location). The office is in **New Cairo**. ### **Key Responsibilities** **Development \& Automation** * Design, develop and deploy process automation workflows using **Camunda 8** (BPMN 2\.0, DMN). * Build and maintain external task workers, connectors, and service tasks for Camunda workflows. * Translate business processes into executable process models in collaboration with business analysts. **Integration \& Operations** * Integrate Camunda workflows with core banking systems, microservices, and APIs (REST, SOAP). * Implement and maintain messaging integrations with Kafka / RabbitMQ where required. * Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of process models and workers. **Migration \& Transformation** * Support and execute **migration activities from Laserfiche to Camunda 8** (analysis, mapping, implementation of equivalent BPMN/DMN workflows). * Re\-engineer legacy workflows to meet current performance, security, and compliance standards. **Performance \& Support** * Troubleshoot and resolve workflow execution and integration issues in development, SIT, UAT and production environments. * Monitor process engine performance and implement tuning and scaling measures. * Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and deployment guides. * Mentor junior developers and collaborate with infrastructure teams on containerized deployments. **Requirements** * **5\+ years** professional software development experience, with **2\+ years** hands\-on working with **Camunda (v8 preferred)**. * Strong expertise in **BPMN 2\.0** and **DMN** modeling and best practices. * Solid Java and **Spring Boot** experience; comfortable building microservices. * Experience integrating with APIs and messaging platforms (REST, SOAP, Kafka, RabbitMQ). * Proven experience with containerized deployments (**Docker**, **Kubernetes**) and CI/CD tooling. * Prior involvement in **workflow/document system migration projects** (e.g., Laserfiche Camunda) is highly desirable. * Familiarity with databases such as **PostgreSQL** or **Oracle**. * Strong troubleshooting, debugging and performance optimization skills. * Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. * **Must be based in Egypt** and available to work in a **hybrid model in Cairo**. **Benefits** * Competitive **salary**. * Hybrid work model – part on\-site in Cairo, part remote. * Opportunity to work with a **leading bank in Egypt** on a high\-impact automation and migration project. * Career growth in advanced BPM and workflow automation technologies.
