Senior Database Developer designs, develops and monitors Oracle \& Microsoft SQL Server Database applications to support bank e\-Channels services and other Business requirements. He develops new services according to the agreed design and maintain current services. He translates software requirements into concise and robust programming code. Designing, developing and monitoring all Oracle \& Microsoft SQL Server Database objects and applications to meet the Business requirements Understanding design documents/ Clarifying precisely what actions the application is intended to perform in order to design stable, reliable and effective databases Adapting current applications to new requirements, as necessary/Combining all elements of the application and testing it/ Testing sample data\-sets to check that output from the application works as intended Ensure all database programs meet Business requirements and performance requirements Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices Working as part of a team, which may be established purely for a particular project, to write a specific section of the application Analysing and tuning the application performance/ Investigating, analysing and documenting reported defects Creating and tracing test cases and problem scenarios to locate and maintain sources of problems Creating and maintaining technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates Writing detailed operational documentation for the operation of the application by users and operators Consulting manuals, periodicals and technical reports to learn new ways to develop applications programs and maintain existing skills and knowledge Requirements At least 3 years of experience in Oracle \& Microsoft SQL Server database development tools To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
