**Job Summary** As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead high\-performing engineering teams to design, build, and scale Qoyod’s next\-generation accounting platform. This role demands a blend of technical excellence , strategic vision , and people leadership to drive innovation, ensure flawless delivery, and foster a culture of growth. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to align engineering efforts with Qoyod’s ambitious growth goals while maintaining the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and security. **Responsibilities** * **Team Leadership and Development** + Lead a team of 8–12 engineers (including managers), fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. + Build personalized development plans to advance technical and leadership skills. + Conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback, and resolve team challenges proactively. * **Strategic Technical Direction** + Partner with engineering leadership to define and execute the long\-term technical roadmap. + Balance feature development with infrastructure investments (e.g., scalability, security, and system reliability). + Advocate for best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and modern architecture (microservices, cloud\-native solutions). * **Cross\-Functional Collaboration** + Serve as the bridge between engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders. + Translate technical trade\-offs into business language and align engineering priorities with ROI\-driven goals. + Lead cross\-functional initiatives (e.g., system upgrades, integrations with fintech ecosystems). * **Project Delivery \& Process Excellence** + Own end\-to\-end delivery of complex projects using agile methodologies. + Optimize team performance through agile ceremonies, OKRs, and data\-driven metrics (e.g., deployment frequency, incident rates). + Mitigate risks and ensure systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with fintech regulations. * **Strategic Scaling \& Growth** + Navigate ambiguity and scale teams to meet evolving business priorities, adapting structures and focus areas as needed. + Spearhead organization\-wide initiatives that span multiple teams, ensuring technical coherence and strategic alignment. + Balance short\-term delivery with long\-term investments, ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence. **Qualifications** * **Experience**: 10\+ years in software engineering, with 4\+ years in leadership roles (managing teams of 10\+). * **Technical Expertise**: Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Python, or Java; hands\-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, microservices, and distributed systems. * **Leadership**: Proven success scaling engineering teams in high\-growth environments. Ability to mentor managers and drive cultural change. * **Project Management**: Expertise in Agile/Scrum, DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker), and SaaS delivery. * **Communication**: Ability to articulate technical strategies to executives and inspire technical teams. * **Education**: Bachelor’s in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
