




As a DevOps Engineer II at Synapse Analytics, you will be a key individual contributor responsible for guiding the development and maintenance of robust, scalable, and high\-value hybrid infrastructure for our core products. You'll move beyond assisting with infrastructure tasks to taking ownership of more complex deployment components across both cloud and on\-premises environments, contributing significantly to our infrastructure roadmap and strategy. You will also begin to mentor junior team members. **Responsibilities** * Design, implement, and manage infrastructure as code for significant product features across cloud and on\-premises systems. * Ensure the reliability and feasibility of infrastructure designs by collaborating closely with design and engineering teams. * Optimize CI/CD pipelines for maximum value, speed, and alignment with strategic goals for hybrid deployments. * Collaborate closely with stakeholders, designers, and the development team to define infrastructure requirements and deliver integrated software solutions. * Clearly and regularly communicate infrastructure decisions, progress, and challenges with management and cross\-functional teams. * Lead infrastructure review sessions for peers and junior DevOps engineers, providing in\-depth constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to high\-quality standards. * Research and stay up\-to\-date with the latest market trends and technologies, actively proposing and evaluating new opportunities for the company's hybrid infrastructure. * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. * Minimum 2 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability, or similar infrastructure\-focused role. * Excellent knowledge and experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration, particularly with Kubernetes, RKE2, and OpenShift. * Excellent knowledge and experience building and managing production infrastructure in cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and on\-premises environments. * Extensive experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). * Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, TCP, UDP, etc.) and security concepts. * Solid understanding of the technical architecture of the products you support and how the Linux operating system works. * Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving deployment ambiguities and infrastructure conflicts. * Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). * Excellent understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, from discovery and design to development and deployment. * Experience with machine learning or AI\-powered products is a strong plus.
