Responsible for adhering to the life cycle asset management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of assets: + Gas turbines. + Steam turbines. + Boilers. + Switchgears. + Voltage regulators. + Rotating equipment. + Protection relays. + Electrical control systems. + Transformers. + Motors and generators. + Cooling systems. + Instrumentation and control devices. + Pumps and valves. + Auxiliary power units. * Responsible for designing, developing, monitoring, and refining an asset maintenance plan that includes: + Value\-added predictive, proactive, preventive, and corrective maintenance tasks. + Effective utilization of predictive and other non\-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems. * Ensure the optimum utilization of the CCMS. * Provide input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability\-related and non\-reliability\-related risks that could adversely impact the plant operations. * Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect the plant operations (capacity, quality, cost, or regulatory compliance issues): + Statistical process control. + Reliability modeling and prediction. + Fault tree analysis. + Root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA). + Failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS). * Work with the Operations Team to perform analysis of assets including: + Asset utilization. + Overall equipment effectiveness. + Remaining useful life. + Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability, and costs of assets. * Provide technical support to the Operations Team and Plant Manager. * Apply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign and make/buy decisions. * Execute predictive and preventive maintenance to eliminate catastrophic failures and unplanned maintenance. * Review the supporting documentation for permits to work and submit it to the Plant Manager for approval. * Act as Plant Manager during his absence. * Maintain required regulatory documentation updated. *PROCUREMENT \& LOGISTICS* * Actively contribute to all Purchase and Service Order Agreements relating to the maintenance of the plant. * Actively work with the Plant Manager to manage all Procurement \& Logistic agreements for consumable and spare parts. * Ensure materials are available for planned maintenance, overhauls, and mandatory inspections. *ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT* * Supervise the Electrical Reliability Team. * Support the Plant Manager to develop and staff the Plant Team. * Implement training and development program for staff in line with technical and business needs. * Carry out performance appraisals and development plans with subordinate staff. * Coordinate the rotational schedule (on and off duty) of the Reliability Team. **QUALIFICATIONS:** * Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, or Instrumentation \& Control Engineering. * Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Management, is a plus. * Multicultural experience is mandatory. **KNOWLEDGE \& EXPERIENCE:** * A minimum of 8\+ years of experience in the oil \& gas industry, specifically at power plants. * A minimum of 6\+ years of post\-qualification experience and competence in power plant management and reliability processes. * Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants, including Process Safety Management, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations, EEOC guidelines, and other federal and local requirements. * Familiarity with Instrumentation and Industrial Automation, Supervision Systems (SCADA and HMI), PLC\-PAC programming, and industrial networks. **COMPETENCIES:** * Strategic Vision: Drive projects towards improving efficiencies based on processes and procedures. * Strong Leadership: Ability to deal with technical, financial, and HR issues in a continually changing business environment. * Flexibility: Ability to operate flexible work practices to achieve optimum results. * Good Communications: Consistently communicate. Our experienced team members are our most precious asset, having discovered, explored and developed more than 24Moz of gold resources and reserves in Ghana; and having managed Ghana's largest underground mine.* **About This Role** The role will be responsible for conducting the safe troubleshooting replacement, repair, testing, and general maintenance of electrical and instrumentation production equipment and systems according to electrical codes and specifications to optimize plant processing and production **Key Responsibilities** * Test repaired equipment to determine the extent of effective functioning, including but not limited to maintenance of MCC's, motors and drives. * Confirm that tag\-outs / lock\-outs are in place when disconnecting or connecting and removing electrical motors. * Monitor substations in the plant and carry out any maintenance procedures * Carry out calibration and maintenance on Process Plant instruments: flowmeters, PH meters, densitometers, weightometers, control valves etc. * Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting on PLCs and SCADA * Attend training, development and performance improvement training as required * Execute electrical refurbishment and maintenance work items as tasked – compliant and in accordance with all relevant regulations from Government of Ghana and AGBL * Execute daily pre\-start checks of equipment/tools prior to leaving workshop. Escalate and report any anomalies * Assess all equipment required for completion of the tasked work, create checklist, and transport all tools necessary for task completion * Recognize any machine, equipment or crane operation anomalies that would indicate requirements for maintenance, report and escalate. * Provide data and information to support the Maintenance Planner to close out work orders in the maintenance management system * Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time. **Education, Work Experience \& Key Competencies** * HND or Certificate in EET Part II or III in Electrical Engineering. * Three (3\) Years of experience preferably Process Plant maintenance * Familiarity with the Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health Safety and Technical) Regulation * Knowledge of the Ghana Electrical Wiring Regulations 2012, L.I. 2008 * Must possess an Inspecting Engineer's Certificate of Competency from Mineral Commission of Ghana * Strong electrical maintenance competencies in mining and/or extractive metallurgy environment * Basic skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project and Excel * Knowledge in Electrical starters maintenance: DOLs, VSDs, Soft Starters, Liquid resistance starters Ability to work in multi\-cultural environment where respect is paramount.
