




#### **Job Description** **Job Purpose** To analyze data and support pricing strategies, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing to optimize business performance. **Key Responsibilities \& Accountabilities** **All Products:** * Provide a reliable actuarial production service. * Document all work produced thoroughly. * Validate system generated data related to pricing and reports. * Create, check and maintain quotation tools. * Create and Maintain dashboard and monitoring tools. * Develop, maintain and supervise/use technical pricing models. * Create formal actuarial reports and regulator correspondences. * Manage Actuarial interaction with other departments. * Review and Update departmental procedures regularly. * Comply with AXA’s Risk Management framework and fulfilling all necessary requirements. * Provide assistance in departmental work planning. * Design, delegate and check of bespoke management information requests as required. * Check thoroughly the output generated by Actuarial Analysts. * Mentor Actuarial Analysts and interns; including delegation of work, induction planning and assisting with work planning. * Create and present basic actuarial training modules. * Perform all other duties assigned by manager. **For Retail and Pre\-Underwritten Products:** * Assist in products development, pricing, and portfolio reviews. * Set assumptions for pricing and valuation purposes. * Project future earnings of current products and new/potential products. * Undertake regular experience analysis. * Conduct quantitative and qualitative research into pricing rates related events to ensure products are priced accurately and relevant parties informed of future product development trends. * Recommend pricing that meets corporate profitability targets, including negotiated exceptions up to the level of delegated authority. **For Commercial products:** * Set the fixed parameters and assumptions for pricing #### **Skills** **Education / Certification*** Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science (preferable) or Engineering. * Actuarial exam passes are a plus. * Advance towards qualification as a Fellow of the Society or Institute of Actuaries. * 2\-3 years in Risk Management, Actuarial or another technical functions in an insurance or reinsurance company. **Skills \& Competencies:** * Highly numerate, analytical, and attentive to detail. * Excellent English and Arabic language skills (Verbal and Written). * A good understanding of actuarial concepts and analysis. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and R. * Knowledge of Access and VBA. * A detailed understanding of all AXA existing products and policy conditions. * A thorough understanding of actuarial concepts and analysis. * A high\-level understanding of AXA’s pricing practices. * A detailed knowledge and understanding of Financial Regulatory Authority actuarial regulations. * Governing areas such as report preparation. * A well\-developed knowledge of the Egyptian Insurance Industry. #### **Job Details** Job Location Cairo, Egypt Job Role Accounting/Banking/Finance Employment Status Full time Employment Type Employee #### **Preferred Candidate** Career Level Mid Career Years of Experience Min: 2
