This position bridges the gap between AI innovation and aviation operational realities—where deep technical expertise meets domain\-driven impact. ### **Key Responsibilities** **Technical Leadership** Lead the end\-to\-end development of AI models and intelligent systems tailored to aviation use cases (e.g., MRO, baggage systems, airport ops, CAMO). Architect and oversee scalable AI infrastructure and pipelines for model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring. Evaluate and adopt appropriate AI/ML frameworks, tools, and methodologies to ensure state\-of\-the\-art capabilities. **Team Management** Manage and mentor a cross\-functional AI team, providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high engineering standards. Foster a collaborative and innovation\-driven culture focused on delivery and continuous improvement. **Cross\-functional Collaboration** Work closely with the AI Product Manager to translate product vision and aviation pain points into concrete technical requirements and deliverables. Collaborate with aviation domain experts, software engineers, and stakeholders to ensure AI solutions are operationally viable and commercially valuable. **Project Delivery** Own timelines and deliverables for AI development milestones across the product lifecycle—from R\&D and prototyping to pilot programs and commercial launches. Ensure technical documentation and compliance with aviation and data governance standards. **Innovation \& Continuous Learning** Stay ahead of AI trends, with a particular focus on technologies applicable to aviation operations, such as predictive maintenance, computer vision, and intelligent automation. Contribute to a culture of experimentation and data\-driven decision\-making. ### **About You** **Experience:** 5\+ years of experience leading AI/ML development teams, with a proven track record of building and deploying AI solutions in production environments. **Domain Expertise:** Ideally, direct experience or strong interest in the aviation industry (e.g., MRO, CAMO, baggage handling, airport logistics). **Technical Expertise:** Proficient in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit\-learn. Strong background in data pipelines, model ops (MLOps), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with computer vision, NLP, or time\-series forecasting a plus. **Leadership:** Demonstrated ability to lead and grow technical teams; excellent stakeholder management and decision\-making skills. **Communication:** Clear communicator with the ability to engage with both technical and non\-technical stakeholders. **Innovation:** A passion for pushing the boundaries of AI to solve complex, real\-world problems—especially in highly operational industries. ### **Preferred Qualifications** Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
