




**DIRECTOR OF PLATFORM ENGINEERING** Owning the architecture, delivery, and talent development of the core SaaS GRC platform and web modules. **Location:** Can work remote plus visit the Alexandria, Egypt (San Stefano) office for quarterly leadership summits. **Job Type:** Full‑time (Director) **Reports to:** Chief Technology Officer (CTO) PLATFORM ENGINEERING LEADERSHIP Are you equally comfortable diagramming micro‑service boundaries and coaching engineers through incident retros? Do you relish transforming product requirements into secure, scalable releases? As Director of Platform Engineering you will steer all web‑application, DevOps, database and UX/UI teams, delivering the platform foundation on which our CAIO’s AI services run. BACKGROUND Allendevaux \& Company blends deep regulatory expertise with advanced engineering, building a multi\-module governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platform with AI at its core. Your mandate is to keep the platform’s roadmap, SDLC discipline and reliability world‑class while partnering with the CAIO to make AI‑enabled features production‑ready. EXPERIENCE Candidates should have demonstrable success leading multi‑disciplinary engineering teams, owning large‑scale SaaS architectures (Docker/Kubernetes, micro‑services, REST/gRPC APIs), and delivering to uptime, security and compliance SLAs (ISO 27001, SOC 2, etc.). Experience modernising CI/CD and migrating workloads to AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus. RESPONSIBILITIES * Define and execute the platform engineering roadmap in alignment with product OKRs. * Lead and grow teams covering back‑end, front‑end, DevOps, database, and UX/UI. * Establish engineering standards—code review, DORA metrics, incident response. * Oversee CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure‑as‑code for multi‑cloud deployments. * Partner with the CAIO to integrate AI inference services securely into production. * Manage platform budget, vendor contracts, and GPU/cloud capacity planning (non‑AI). * Report progress, risks and mitigation plans to the CTO and executive committee. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field; **master’s preferred**. * 8 \+ years in software engineering, including 4 \+ years leading multi‑team organisations. * Proven experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/GKE/AKS) and cloud‑native architectures. * Demonstrated delivery of compliance‑grade SaaS (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, or similar). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Prior responsibility for multi‑tenant platform security and data‑protection controls. * Exposure to CI/CD modernisation (GitOps, Argo CD, Tekton) and SRE methodologies. * Experience collaborating with AI/ML organisations on productionising model services.
