

**The meditations serve to recognize and understand more deeply who we are. We are not trying to make ourselves happier or more complete by looking outside of ourselves, but we recognize that these feelings are part of our nature.** **In the meditations, it is not about 'accomplishing' or achieving something, nor about pushing thoughts away.** **Awareness is part of our fundamental nature. The intention is to recognize this. The meditations provide us with a tool to become aware of our awareness and its qualities.** **Formal practice sessions are important, but it is also our intention to practice informally throughout daily life.**
