Our experienced team members are our most precious asset, having discovered, explored and developed more than 24Moz of gold resources and reserves in Ghana; and having managed Ghana's largest underground mine.* **About This Role** The role will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring their optimal and safe operation **Key Responsibilities** * Work in a team to provide maintenance support to the process plant and mine; * Provide maintenance support for process equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, grinding mills, gravity concentrators, hydro cyclones, flotation cells and pressure filters to maintain optimum performance; * Monitor equipment condition and escalating issues to prevent further deterioration; * Diagnose, overhaul, repair, and maintain conveyors, Mobile, Jaw and Cone crushers * Carry out major mechanical overhauls, refurbishments and repairs to equipment in line with AGBL maintenance procedures and specifications * Carry out routine maintenance, e.g. greasing/lubrication * Carry out repairs and/or modifications to the plant components, including potential small fabrication work. * Reading and understanding blueprints prior to starting a project. * Measure and cut materials to specifications. * Check finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints * Repair and design of chutes, pipes, tanks, structures, and launders. * Ensure that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and screwed in. * Adhere to assembly safety standards **Education, Work Experience \& Key Competencies** * Minimum of Mechanical Engineering Technician (MET I) Certificate or Advanced welding and metals fabrication or relevant trade certificate from a recognized institution. * Minimum of three (3\) years post\-qualification work experience as a Mechanic or boilermaker in a processing plant; * Problem solving and decision\-making skills. * Dynamic knowledge and understanding of process plant operating \& metallurgical practices. * Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. * Good Metallurgical report writing skills. * Demonstrate ability to initiate new ideas to improve plant efficiency.
