Do you have a proven track record of delivering results? The Senior Production Chemist will carry out basic maintenance of the equipment once trained, with continuous quality checks and monitoring. Communication is essential and you are expected to start and end with a clear accurate shift handover to ensure everyone is aware of any problems being encountered. **What you’ll be doing:** * Follow company health and safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others. * Following training and when competent to do so you are expected operate all machinery in a safe manner including, Bagging, Mixer, Stacker, Calcination and the Laminator when necessary * Submitting a daily report to the production manager / assistant production manager about: production / perishing / causes of waste / periods of production stoppage and their causes / number of shift members and whether there are any changes or vacations between the operators. * Always to put safety first and when you are unsure you are expected to seek to understand first * Maintaining the cleanliness of the production line and monitoring the performance of production machines and their maintenance work. * Investigated causes of failures and standardization new procedures and improving processes for problem solving to produce high quality product and maximize output * Always comply with all quality systems to the best product possible * operate clean\-as\-you\-go standards in line with the 5S methodology, ‘A place for everything \& everything in its place’ to ensure overall efficiency in the workplace * Conduct regular checks to ensure the integrity of the board as and when directed * Working on implementing the production plan submitted by the production manager. * Ensuring the accuracy of the monthly / weekly inventory of raw materials before submitting it to the Production Manager / Assistant Production Manager. * Conducting a periodic evaluation of the operators ’performance and submitting it to the Production Manager / Assistant Production Manager. **What we’d love for you to have:** We are interested in you as a person: your attitude, behaviors and values.
