**Location:** Remote **\*Job Summary:\*** We are seeking a skilled Senior/Mid\-Level WordPress Developer with a strong background in frontend technologies and experience in backend development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining high\-quality websites and applications. You will be responsible for both back\-end and front\-end development, including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead the development of custom WordPress themes and plugins * Customize existing themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements * Ensure the implementation of responsive deigns principles for optimal user experience across various devices. * Implement and maintain front\-end components using HTML, CSS, Java Script and related technologies. * Implement front\-end components using React * Develop and maintain server\-side functionality using PHP and other relevant technologies * Integrate WordPress with third party APIs and services. * Manage and optimize WordPress databases * Implement efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms * Conduct through testing of websites to identify and fix bugs, compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecks * Implement best practices for code quality, security and performance * Work closely with designers, project managers and other developers to ensure project requirements are met * Document code base process and configurations for future reference. * Ensure that documentation is kept up to date with changes and enhancements **Qualifications:** * Proven experience as a WordPress Developer (senior or mid\-level). * Strong understanding of front\-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. * Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications. * Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc. * Experience with the backend web development technology stack, PHP, MySQL, and comfortable with Apache or NGINX. * Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML). * Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git. * Strong understanding of WordPress themes and plugin architecture. * Experience with responsive and adaptive design. * Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics. * Ability to manage projects. * Good communication skills. * Experience with other CMS frameworks and e\-commerce platforms like Shopify or Magento. * Knowledge of website security practices. * Experience in user experience design and search engine optimization.
